Spring Starbucks
Spring means ‘sakura’ or cherry blossoms.
It also means a plethora of foods that are ‘sakura’ flavored…

↑ This is part of the menu… Limited edition drinks at the top.
It’s just a normal Starbucks card, but it has the ‘sakura’ limited edition on it..
And to complete it all.. a ‘sakura’ laden Starbucks bag.

So what does a Starbuck’s drink cost if you converted it to USD?
at today’s rate.. 92yen to 1 dollar,
a normal cafe latte is 380 for a tall or about $4.10
(420 for a grande or $4.53, and 460 for a venti or $4.96)
reasonable? I don’t even know anymore….lol
Sounds right about the same as we pay in Canada….it’s called five bucks for a reason!
So funny! I was in Japan during the spring a few years ago – this brings back a lot of memories
Hi, I saw the Sakura menus at starbucks today and I was tempted to buy it.. But didnt.
Looking at the photo of the sakura bag, im guessing you bought it.. How was it?
lol.. i bought coffee, ground coffee! Pike Place Blend for me and ny co-worker.. got the bag, but not the sakura frappaccino! (too cold! lol)
Thanks for the reply!
I should go try it out tomorrow….:)
So you didn’t try it?
oh.. please do! and report back! lol
(it’ll be colder and windy tomorrow tho! brr..! at least here anyway!)
I thought it was supposed to snow here in Yokohama today… The weather report sucks.. Don’t you think so?
Yes! I’ll report back! Stay tuned.
looking forward to it..!
yes.. but i’d rather it either snow like crazy (so i cant move), or just a centimeter (or so..), and have it melt away during the day. i cant deal with the traffic, trains, people, etc. when it causes problems like that… lol
hahaha true that.
I read your ‘About’ page and you were raised in Seattle?
I’m going there this summer… do you have any recommendations on where I should go? tour?
really? cool!
tons of nice places..
Pike Place Market!
Pike Place Market? Ok!
Thank you!!!!
I want to try both the original and soy Sakura White Chocolate!! Wonder what a blossom-flavour is supposed to be like
Did you get to try any of those limited edition drinks?
not yet.. they look pretty good, don’t they!?
They really do! Do post about it when you do get to try them
yes, hopefully soon! today perhaps…!
I love the cherry blossom petals on the bag – it makes the plain brown bag look delicate and very appealing. I also notice there are a lot shower gel, lotions, shampoo, etc. in the stores here with Japanese cherry blossom scent. Thanks for showing us something a little different from a familiar company.
A refreshing look!
Most interesting blog…love it!

I love spring and I love cherry blossoms. How come Starbucks doesn’t get season out in the US?
good question! I think it might be too ‘cute’ for Americans… lol
